Archive Limit

  • The Box Archive feature enables you to create a maximum of 10,000 top-level Archive folders.

Bookmarks

  • A bookmark, if Archived alone, can’t be restored to its original location.
  • Archived bookmarks don’t appear in the Archive search filter.
  • Archived bookmarks don’t have archive dates, so a retention policy cannot trigger off that date.

Box API

  • Renaming an Archive via the Box API doesn’t block duplicate names.
  • Renaming an Archive via the Box API doesn’t change the owner’s name.

Unsupported Box Products

  • Drive: The Box Archive feature does not support Drive.
  • Mobile: The Box Archive feature is not available in the Box mobile app.
