NoteIf you are a member of an organization that uses SSO for Box access, you may not have an account password defined, but you can create one.
- Click your account avatar in the upper-right, then go to Account Settings > Account.
- In the Authentication section, select Change Password.
- Enter your current password, and a new password twice. The Admin for the organization that owns the content may have minimum password requirements defined that your password must meet. The dialog box will indicate if the new password meets the defined requirements.
- Select Save.
- As a managed user of an organization, your password does not meet the minimum requirements defined by your organization Admin.
- As a user who has content shared with them from an organization, your password does not meet the minimum requirements for external collaborators defined by that organization’s Admin.
- Your password is part of a known data breach.
- In the Action Required banner that says “Strong Password Required,” select Update.
- Enter your current password, and a new password twice. The Admin for the organization that owns the content may have minimum password requirements defined that your password must meet. The dialog box will indicate if the new password meets the defined requirements.
- Select Save.
