Creating new Hub
To create a Hub:- Do one of the following:
- In the sidebar, click the plus icon next to Hubs. The Hub creation page opens in a new tab.
- In the Hubs gallery, click the New Hub button. If this is your first Hub, you see a You don’t have any Hubs yet message with a step-by-step tutorial. Click Get Started.
- Fill in the Hub name and description.
- Add any files that you want. Refer to Adding Content to Box Hubs for more information.
- Save your changes.
Restrictions
- If you don’t specify a Hub name, it is auto-populated with Untitled Hub [date and time].
- If you don’t add any description, it is not auto-populated and is not visible on the published Hub.
- A Hub description can only have 2000 characters.
- You can only add files or folders owned by your enterprise to your Hub.
Logo and background image
You can add a logo and background images when you create your Hub, or later in the edit mode. To add a logo or background image, click the pencil icon on the logo or background. Then select an image from the gallery or upload it from Box or from your device. To delete a custom image, you need to first change the custom logo or background to another one. Then you need to click the pencil icon to open the gallery. Find your image in the gallery and click the X button on it. A pop-up message appears, asking you to confirm the image deletion. For the logo, we recommend using a square image. For the background, we recommend choosing images with a 5:1 aspect ratio and minimum width of 1600 px.Note

Co-owner settings on a Hub level
As a co-owner you can edit the Hub settings both in the edit and view mode. To do so:- Open the desired Hub.
- Click the ellipsis to open the More Options menu.
- Click Hub Settings.
- Restrict collaboration to within your enterprise: on by default when you first log in to Box. To allow adding external collaborators, turn this option off.
- Control who can add or modify the collaborators:
- Editors and co-owners (on by default when you first log in to Box)
- Only co-owners
- Control who can create or modify shared links:
- Editors and co-owners (on by default when you first log in to Box)
- Only co-owners
- Manage Box AI features for this Hub.

- You’re an admin and you disabled shared links in the admin console for your enterprise.
- You’re a Hub editor, but the Hub co-owner didn’t give you permissions to do that.
Embedding a Hub
To embed a Hub anywhere on your webpage or system:- Open the Hub you want to embed.
- Click the ellipsis to open the More Options menu.
- Click Embed Hub.
- Select the size of the widget. Available options are:
- Small (330 x 400),
- Medium (500 x 400),
- Large (800 x 550),
- Custom.
- Copy the link and add it in the desired place.

To see the contents of the embedded Hub, you need to be invited to it or have access through the shared link. All user roles (Viewer, Editor, Co-Owner) can embed a Hub.

Deleting a Hub
To delete a Hub:- Select the specific Hub from the Hub gallery.
- Click the More options menu.
- Select Delete Hub.

You must be a Hub Co-Owner to delete a Hub. When you delete it, the source content from Box is not deleted.
